Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Heb 6:18-19 NLT-
We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.” Hebrews 12:2, NLT
This past month I have been learning more about how to stay surrendered and anchored in my Faith. Moving to a new country has been a path to learning in the midst of suffering and trials. It has been three months since I moved to Uruguay. Learning to let go of my life to practically believe God will take care of my life has been so challenging.

It is easy to stay encouraged and believe in an unseen God when things are easy. But to find perseverance to keep going when life gets hard, that is when faith is tested. The thought of being anchored in Christ is so encouraging. Really good encouragement! I am not the best at always staying motivated when times get tough, but I love the confidence I can have despite. So the place I have been turning to is the book of Hebrews. I love reading about the different people that against all odds defined faith for me, specially Jesus.

Now that spring is here, I am starting to see a different vibe to Montevideo. It is great to see the different festivals, outdoor activities and people.

It is easy to focus on what I feel or the things I see. But to focus on the things that are not seen and eternal, is not in our human nature. I have focused on my living situation, wholesome food to eat, work, enjoying my time, church and new relationships. While those things are important, they are not always going to work as I want. So what is left? Only God and his promises for me!
